Colored Paint Protection Film (PPF / PWF) Application Guide

General Policies

Samples

Most Instawraps products are color-based, and their appearance may vary due to screen resolution, lighting, and photo quality. We strive to present accurate images, but we strongly encourage customers to order samples before making a purchase to avoid discrepancies and return requests.

By purchasing samples, customers can ensure the color and finish meet their expectations, avoiding delays, return requests, and unnecessary expenses. If a customer chooses to order material without first purchasing a sample, it is solely their responsibility if the color does not meet their expectations. Instawraps will not be liable for any discrepancies in color perception.

• Camo Samples: These showcase the intricate pattern shapes, colors, and finishes but do not fully convey the size or scale of the design. Additional information, such as measurements and application images, is available for better visualization.

Films

• Textured Vinyl / Wood Grain: Produced horizontally. Pieces smaller than 4-5 feet will have the grain running on the shorter side.

• Directional Films: Changing the direction of some films during application may cause slight color variations.

• Seams: Some rolls may contain a manufacturer’s seam every 200-300 rolls. Instawraps does not create these seams.

• 3M 1080 / 2080 Series: 3M transitioned from 1080 to 2080 in 2020. Once 1080 stock is depleted, orders will be fulfilled with the corresponding 2080 film.

• PPF & Tint Orders: If a specified width is unavailable, we may substitute a different width while maintaining the correct square footage.

• Film Branding: Some products arrive unbranded (e.g., Avery Chrome, 3M/Avery PPF). 3M tint may include a printed logo that can be removed with warm water.

Payments

• Canadian customers may pay via Interac e-transfer, and U.S. customers via Zelle.

• Payment must be sent immediately before completing checkout; unpaid orders are automatically canceled after 30 minutes.

• If a payment appears on a statement but no confirmation email is received, the transaction likely did not process successfully and will be refunded by the bank.

Price Adjustments

Instawraps reserves the right to adjust product prices based on market conditions. Updates apply immediately to all future purchases.

Business Days & Customer Accounts

• Canadian and international customers should reference Canadian business days; U.S. customers should check both Canadian and U.S. business days.

• Orders cannot be modified once placed.

• Customers must have an account to collect points in the Wrap’n Roll Rewards Program.

Reorder Access

Customers can reorder items from their account or via the order confirmation email.

Customer Service & Policies

• Abusive behavior toward Instawraps staff will not be tolerated and may result in a ban.

• The Support Team cannot assist with orders from third-party marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, etc.).

Site Preferences & Checkout Notes

• Currency options are available for browsing but checkout is always processed in CAD.

• Checkout notes are for general instructions only. Special requests outside of policy (e.g., cutting vinyl lengthwise) will not be fulfilled.

Shipping Policies

Shipping & Fulfillment

• Orders may ship from multiple North American locations.

• Express orders placed before 11:00 AM EST will usually ship the same day.

• Non-express orders may take up to 3 business days for fulfillment.

Accepted Carriers for Express Shipping

A full list of express shipping options for Canada and the U.S. is available in our Terms of Use page. Orders using other methods are not considered express.

Address & Shipment Modifications

• Shipping, billing, and invoice details cannot be modified post-checkout.

• Instawraps is not liable for incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer.

Same-Day Local Delivery (Ontario Only)

• Orders placed between 10 AM and 3 PM EST will be dispatched within one hour.

• Orders must be paid in full before dispatch.

Curbside Pickup

• Orders placed before 11 AM EST are typically available for pickup the same day.

• Expedited pickup is available for a $25 fee.

• Pickup confirmation is required upon arrival via WhatsApp or phone.

Returns & Refund Policies

General Return & Refund Conditions

• No returns or refunds on chrome materials or custom prints.

• Samples and PPF returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee.

• Orders canceled after fulfillment may incur a 20-50% restocking fee.

• All return items must be unused and in original packaging.

Pickup Order Returns

• Returns within 30 days incur a 20% restocking fee.

• Uncollected orders for over 14 days are also subject to restocking fees.

Warranty Claims

• A one-year warranty applies only if installation was performed by a Certified Installer.

• Claims must be submitted within the warranty period.

Defective Film Claims

• Defects must be identified before installation. Installed materials beyond 10% will not qualify for claims.

• Film haze is not a defect and can be removed with heat during installation.

Return Shipping Responsibility

• Customers must cover return shipping costs.

• Refunds for returned items (if applicable) may take up to three business days to process after receiving the item.

• E-transfer / Zelle refunds will be issued as store credit.

Privacy Policies

Information Collection & Use

• Instawraps collects data to process orders, improve services, and for marketing purposes.

• Payment data is securely processed through Shopify and third-party payment providers.

• Website analytics and cookies track customer behavior to enhance user experience.

Sharing & Disclosure

• Personal information may be shared with third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, shipping companies).

• Data may be used for personalized advertising through Shopify Audiences.

• Instawraps does not knowingly collect data from children.

Security & Retention

• Reasonable security measures are implemented, but perfect security cannot be guaranteed.

• Data retention depends on order history, legal obligations, and business needs.

Your Rights & Choices

• Customers may request access, correction, or deletion of their data.

• Opt-out options for marketing communications and targeted advertising are available.

International Users

• Personal information may be processed outside of the customer's home country, including in the United States.

• Standard contractual clauses are used to comply with international data transfer regulations.
